HTC, a brand known for making great hardware but never promoting it properly, will begin a marketing campaign Friday for the HTC One, its latest flagship smartphone.

This LA Times headline talks about viral marketing for the HTC One. However, they described word-of-mouth marketing. HTC should use word-of-mouth marketing, as well as viral. There's nothing viral about being in high traffic places with your phones.
